Team E will be in charge. With thanks to Brogans and Natural Options Pharmacies for sponsorship of envelopes.
The U12s lost to a good Clan na Gael side in the Abbey Park on Sunday morning. The statistics and evidence should be collected from the games here to endorse the option of a lower division status next season where the teams can be competitive.
The U14s lost their championship opener to Roscommon Gaels. As above. They are scheduled to play St Dominics in their next outing this week-see fixtures.
The U16s and the National Automation minors and the McGovern Directional Drilling seniors have no fixtures this week. The Cooney Motors/ Cooney's Centra junior lost to Shannon Gaels in the Tansey Cup in the Abbey park on Saturday evening in a messy mistake ridden game. Could do better….a phrase I used to use regularly in a different life! I heardthe observation from a Boyle person that Gaels had ‘three twins’ playing. That sounds odd.
The Club extends its best wishes to the Roscommon senior and minor panels and management teams, and especially to the Boyle connections in both groups in their respective games on Saturday and Sunday next. Sincere commiserations to Tadgh McKenna who will miss the minor game through an unfortunate knee injury incurred freakish enough v Galway. I hope Tadgh makes a quick and FULL recovery quickly but give it the necessary time. Best wishes also to another Tadgh …Lowe who I believe is heading to the states….those were the days …of my youth.
The Club is required to provide as many stewards as possible for the games in Hyde Park, and especially the Connacht Finals on Sunday. Those willing to assist should give their names to Secretary Kathleen Hanmore at 086 1229421 immediatly.
Well done to the Roscommon U16s and to their Boyle representatives Dylan Mattimoe, Thomas Halligan and Evan McGrath on their Fr. Manning Cup victory over Leitrim during the week.

The Junior Ladies had a one point win over Ballinameen in the Junior A Championship in monsoon like conditions on Tuesday evening last. It is a tribute to both sides that they played out such an exciting contest in such terrible conditions.

Mon. 2pm. The Cooney Motors/ Cooney's Centra juniors had a good win over Strokestown in the Tansey Cup in Saturday evening last. It was disappointing that the players and supporters arrived at Strokestown's fine new facilities, only to find that the game was moved to their old pitch without advance notice. The Juniors are playing Elphin as I write. This team plays Elphin on Bank Holiday Monday-see results. They will be in action again on Sunday next when they make the long journey to Johnstown to play Clan na Gael. So a number of people are gettin plenty of game time with that team. So a number have the opportunity to push for places on the Intermediate C'Ship team for the games later on.
