Mon. am. All
roads lead to Strokestown on Sunday next when the McGovern Directional Drilling
Intermediates take on Tulsk Lord Edwards in the County Intermediate Final at
3pm. This is the Club’s biggest game of the year and the best
wishes of the Club go with the players and the management. All involved have
left no stone unturned and we hope that there will be massive Boyle support to
cheer on the lads to what we hope will be a successful outcome.
The following were €20 winners in the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in
Daly’s;- J.J, Carty, Nuala and Gerry Morris, Michael Leydon, Karen Healy,
Johnny Lyons and John Finn. The house prize was won by Mary Cox. This Saturday
night’s draw will be held in Dodd’s and Team ‘B’ will be in charge. The jackpot
will stand at €4,700.
Thanks
is extended to all who helped in the smooth
running of the County U16 Final in the Abbey Park on Saturday last.
All
Club members are invited to attend a get together to acknowledge our many
generous Club sponsors which will be held in the Clubroom on Friday at 8.30pm.
Our
U21s are awaiting details of the quarter final draws for the
Division 1 County Championship, following their outing with Roscommon Gaels on
Friday night last.
The long awaited Garda
Cup and Keenan Cup fixtures are now looming closer and the lads will be in
action very shortly.
The Club extends its sympathy
to the Daly Family, Tarmon on the death of Matty, to Dr Margaret Loftus on
the death of her brother and to the Beirne Family, Tulsk on their bereavement.
Ladies
Club
Commiserations
to our U14 girls on losing their Division 1A County
Final Replay to St Dominick’s on Sunday. While the girls are naturally
disappointed, they will know that they have had a great season and they have
given great enjoyment to their parents and loyal supporters. Thanks to the
girls and the management for their commitment throughout the year. Good luck to
the Intermediate men on Sunday next in Strokestown.
