A group of Boyle young Boyle Gaelic footballers with their managers and officials at Croke Park on Saturday last, Oct. 26th, for the Compromise Rules game Ireland v Australia which Ireland won comprehensively. Well done to all involved in organising the trip. A few years ago there were a number of such trips to Croke Park, Tullamore (?) and most memorably to Ennis for Roscommon's All-Ireland minor victory in the replay with Kerry. If any young member of the group wishes to send me an account of their trip, to tconboy1@eircom.net  I could publish same here. Thanks to Kevin O'Connor for sending me the pic.

Sat.1o pm.....The celebrations have subsided after the Intermediate title success of the McGovern Directional Drilling team on Sunday last. The Club wishes to thank the public who came out in such numbers to welcome the team home. The lads will be back in action on Sunday next when they will play Eslin in the Connacht Semi Final in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada, Carrick on Shannon at 1.30pm. We appeal once again to our many supporters to make the short journey to Carrick. It is an unique opportunity to see the team play such an important game so close to home.

The Cooney Motors/ Cooneys Centra Juniors played Kilmore in the North B Championship on Bank Holiday Monday. They are expected to be in action in the Division 4 League semi final versus Clan na Gael==see fixtures.

The National Automation Limited U21s had a hard earned win over Clan na Gael in the Division 1 Championship quarter final in Enfield on Saturday.

The U11s finally got their first outing in the Keenan Cup on Saturday last when they defeated Eire Og in incessant rain in the Abbey Park. It is a pity that this competition has been left until this time of year as playing in such conditions does nothing for skill development or love of the sport. Both teams made history on Saturday as it was the first game at which the Boyle Credit Union sponsored scoreboard was in operation. Both sides kept the scoreboard operator very busy!

Well done to the Minor Club for bringing the very young players to the Compromise Rules International in Croke Park.

The Garda Cup fixtures should soon be announced for our U14 player.

The Club Lotto will be held in An Craoibhin on Saturday night next and Team ‘C’ will be in charge.

Go raibh maith agaibh.

Boyle U12s has a great win over St Brigids in Kiltoom on Sunday in the Summer League. This win give the lads and their management much confidence for the future.
The National Automation Limited U21s received a walkover from St Aidans in relation to their Division 1 Championship game which was scheduled for Sunday. It is most disappointing as this has been the second walkover received by the team in this year’s championship, and more especially on this occasion that notification of concession was received at such a late stage. They will play Roscommon Gaels in the next round of this competition in Lisnamult on Friday night next ay 9pm.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra team is still awaiting notification of their outstanding league and championship fixtures.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediates are in preparation for their County Final date with Tulsk which will take place in Strokestown on Sunday 20th at 3pm. Supporters are again urged to put up flags and bunting. Flags may be obtained from Kelly’s Londis and Abbeytown Express Store.
The Club extends its thanks to the many patrons who have responded positively to the Club Lotto renewal drive. All will be contacted in the coming week.
