ntdwgaa; A very simple device I use to enable a window of vision from the car, usually short term, is a plastic fertiliser bag. Run the wipers. Turn off the ignition with the wipers vertical. Then place the fertiliser bag under the wipers. It has served me pretty well, but then I have my eccentricities! Patent pending. Also drawing a swathe of plastic, say a cut of silage plastic, over the car as early at night as you can and sweep it off in the morning. It helps keep the car free from frost. It should also help with preserving battery power.

Mon. 10 pm
Re. Postponement of Friday Night's Minor Presentations:
Tony,
The Boyle Minor Club Presentation Night, which was fixed for Friday next, January the 8th, has had to be postponed because of the ongoing arctic weather conditions. It was considered that it would be unfair to bring youngsters out in such slippery conditions and furthermore the Club does not want to cause dissappointment in the event that Ryan McMenamin might not be able to make the journey from Tyrone.
Martin.

Spread the word, please.

The Christmas Quiz:
The Club's annual Christmas Quiz, which was held in the Moving Stairs on Wednesday December the 30th, was a great success and an enjoyable night. Thanks to Kathleen, Michael, Mary, Monica,John MacNama, Aidan, Barry Lowe and those who helped out and worked so hard to make it the success it turned out to be. Hopefully it will become part of the Boyle Christmas calendar for some time. Thanks to all who supported the event and it was especially encouraging to see so many players present. (I hope the quiz glitches-music etc- encountered this year will be ironed out for next year and it will be a smoother more professional operation!! T.C.). Well done to Gerry, Phil and Nichola Emmett and David O'Connor on their win and the O'Boyle clann for the second spot. Not only is/was Gerry a great footballer, coach, golfer but now he has entered the mensa arena. Not a lot of people would have thought that! The cup is doing the rounds, I believe!

Minor Club Presentation Night:
The Minor Club presentation night will be held on this Friday January the 8th, at 8pm, in St Joseph's Hall with Tyrone All-Irelland medal holder and All Star, Ryan McMenamin, as special guest. The Under 14s and Under 16s will receive their county medals and awards will be made to the players of the year in the various age categories. All under-age players are asked to attend and all parents are particularily encouraged to come along and show their support of the great work that is taking place at under-age levels.

Senior A.G.M.
The Senior Club AGM will be held on Sunday next, January the 10th, at 6pm, in the Royal Hotel.
