Mon. 0.30 am....Our Keenan Cup and Garda Cup panels are in preparation and are awaiting details of their respective competition fixtures.

The U12s are scheduled to play Western Gaels in the Summer League on this coming Friday the 30th in the Abbey Park at 7pm--this will be confirmed at training.

The U16s concluded their campaign with a loss to Roscommon Gaels on Sunday evening.

The National Automation Limited minors also concluded their league campaign with a loss to Oran during the week. They will be in Championship action on Saturday week the 7th of September when they will host Western Gaels in the Abbey Park at 12 noon.

The Abbey Park will also be the venue for the John Corcoran Menswear Intermediate Championship Quarter- Final between St Michaels and St Barrys later that afternoon of the 7th of September.

Our Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors had a four point win over Michael Glaveys in the Abbey Park on Tuesday evening last in the Northern Junior ‘B’ Championship. A minutes silence was observed at this game in memory of the late Mrs Mary (Baby) Cooney.  They are scheduled to play Kilmore in the semi final of this competition on Saturday next 31st at 6.30pm--see fixtures for confirmation of details.

The McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediates are in preparation for their quarter final with St Dominic’s which will be played in Kilbride on Sunday 8th September at 1pm. The Club wishes the Roscommon Minors, especially our Boyle representatives and connections, the best of luck against Tyrone in the All Ireland Semi- Final on Sunday next in Croke Park.

Congratulations are extended to former Club player Brian Supple on his recent wedding.

Well done also to the organisers of the very successful Boyle Show on Sunday last.

Sympathy is extended to the Carroll family on the death of Liam Carroll who was a player with the Club in the latter sixties.

Thanks to all who assisted with the catering in the Clubroom on Sunday morning following the first anniversary Mass for Eoin Lavin.

The Intermediate Ladies are scheduled to play Roscommon Gaels in the Abbey Park on Sunday the 8th of September at 11am in the last of the group games in the Intermediate Championship.

 The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Wynnes’ Bar.;-Martin Henry, Vincent McDonagh, Trevor Conroy, Michael Harrington (Snr), Cathal Horan and Christine Keane. The house prize was won by Barbara Ellen Regan. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will stand at €4,300 for this Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Mattimoes, with Team C in charge.
The U 10s are having a well earned break at present.
The U11s and U14s are currently preparing for and awaiting imminent announcement of fixtures for the Keenan Cup and Garda Cup fixtures respectively.
The U16s will play their re-scheduled Division 1 League fixture with Roscommon Gaels in the Abbey Park on Sunday next at 6pm.
The National Automation Limited minors will play an outstanding league game against Oran in Rockfield on this Wednesday evening.
The National Automation Limited U21s are in preparation for their upcoming championship.
The Cooney Motors/Cooney’s Centra Juniors will play Michael Glaveys in the Junior B Championship on this Tuesday evening at 7pm.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediates suffered a three point defeat to Padraig Pearses in the O’Gara Cup Final in Tulsk on Saturday evening. It was disappointing that they didn’t collect silverware but they have ,nevertheless, had a great Division 2 League campaign and gaining promotion to Division 1 for next year. Congratulations are extended to Pearses, who are the only team that Boyle has lost to this season. The lads will now re-group for their upcoming Intermediate Championship Quarte Final in which they will play St Dominics on the weekend of 6th September.
 
Congratulations are extended to all club players (male and female) who got their Leaving Cert results and we wish them every success in their third level choices.
The Club also congratulates the Boyle Community Games U14 Relay Team,and Ruth Cox and Saoirse Wynne who all performed well for Co Roscommon at the Community Games National Finals in Athlone at the weekend. 
Sympathy is extended to the Rock family, Sheegora on the death of Ann Flynn, Kilmactranny, and to the Cooney Family (our Junior team sponsors) on the passing of Mrs Baby Cooney, mother of former player Seamus and grandmother of former player Alan Cooney.

Ladies Club
The Intermediate Girls went down to much physically stronger Kilbride side in the Intermediate Championship in Kilbride on Thursday evening. The girls fought bravely but the strength of the Kilbride girls and their experience of playing at a higher level told at the end. They will have a chance to return to winning ways when they take on Roscommon Gaels in their next championship outing. The minor girls are awaiting details of their next championship outing.

It was another busy week for the Club.
Our U10s had a very successful football blitz with St Mary’s, Sligo. Thanks to the St Marys players and management for their participation.
Our U11s are preparing for the upcoming Keenan Cup and the U14s are doing likewise for the Garda Cup.
The U16s lost narrowly to Roscommon Gaels in the Division 1 Championship. They will meet the same opposition in the League in the Abbey Park on Friday evening next at 6.45pm.
The National Automation Limited minors will have no action until 6th September.
The National Automation Limited U 21s are about to commence training for the upcoming championship, and their management team under the leadership of Ciaran Supple is wished every success.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra Juniors will play Michael Glaveys in the next round of the Junior B Championship on Tuesday 20th at 7pm in the Abbey Park.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediates had a good win over St Barrys in the last game in the group stages of the Intermediate Championship, thus obtaining full points from all games in the group. They are now in the County Quarter Finals where they will meet the winners of the play-off between Clan na Gael B and St Dominics. The date for the quarter final game will be announced shortly.
Boyle Ladies’
Boyle’s U14 Girls had a 4. 10 to 3. 3 win over Padraig Pearses in the championship in the Abbey Park on Sunday.
The minor girls will play Western Gaels in the Championship at 7pm on this Tuesday evening in the Abbey Park. Go along and support this young team.
The Intermediate girls will play Kilbride in Kilbride on Thursday evening at 8pm in the Intermediate Championship.
The Boyle Clubs (male and Female) wish to congratulate the Boyle Fire Brigade team which won silver medals in the World Police and Fire Services Games in Belfast earlier last week, and in particular team member Brendan Davis who is an esteemed member of the Ladies Club team of managers.

Boyle's Evan McGrath expresses his delight after the great win by Roscommon minors in the All-Ireland Minor Quarter Final at Tullamore earlier this Monday evening. t.c

Mon. 12.50 am....The following were €20 in the most recent Club Lotto Draw which was held recently in Kate Lavin’s;-Tommy Vesey, Carmel Goldrick, Michael Brennan, Cecil Draper, Jackie Harvey and Katriona Rudden. The house prize was won by Larry Gaughran. The numbers drawn were: 9/12/24/27. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will stand at €4,200 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Wynne’s Bar. Team ‘B’ will be in charge.

The highlight of the weekend on the playing fields was the win by the McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediate team over Clan na Gael in Johnstown in the final round of the O’Gara Cup Division 2 League. The win earned them promotion to Division 1 League for 2014. They will play Padraig Pearses at a date to be determined in the O’Gara  Cup Final. Congratulations to the panel and the management on their well earned promotion. They won’t have time to rest on their laurels however, as they will be back in the Intermediate Championship action on Saturday evening next when they will play St Barry’s in Elphin.

The U10s will have a blitz evening with St Mary’s in the Abbey Park on this Thursday evening.

The U16s will play Roscommon Gaels in Lisnamult in the Division 1 Championship on this Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The National Automation Limited Minors will play Padraig Pearses in the League in Pairc an Phiarsaigh on Friday evening .

The Cooney Motors/Cooney’s Centra Juniors had a walkover from Eire Og in the Junior ‘B’ Championship. They will play Michael Glaveys in the next round of this competition and it is provisionally scheduled for 20th August.

The Club extends its sympathy to the Sweeney family, Brislagh, the Feely family, Deerpark,  the Masterson family and the Bonnici family on their recent bereavements.
