Top Corner:
Roscommon had a good win over what I felt was a very limited Leitrim side in the sunshine of Carrick on Shannon on Sunday last. It was a game we had to win and we now meet Mayo on Saturday June 20th at 7pm I think.
While not germane to here there is a quiz in The Moving Stairs on Thursday June 11th (not June 4th as may be advertised in some places) at 9.34. It is in aid of the summer show revival. So I expect the GAA brains thrust to be out in force!
The account of the La na gClub match has been mentioned to me a few times recently, a couple of times on the basis that it could not be seen on this blog (the scroll down option is trying on the wrists!) so I’ve brought it forward for the benefit of x and y just below.

Successful Week:
It has been a very successful week on the playing fields for Boyle Club with winning performances in all games played in the various competitions.

U 12:
The U12 Division 1 team had a good win over Roscommon Gaels in Roscommon on Wednesday last. They will entertain St Brigid’s in the Abbey Park at 12.30pm on Sunday next. The U 12 Division 4 team had a comprehensive win over St Ronan’s on Monday last.Their next outing is a trip to Tarmonbarry to take on St Barry’s on Wednesday at 7pm.

U 14s’:
The U 14s’ had a well merited win over St Dominick’s in Knockcroghery on Thursday evening. They will travel south again, on this Thursday, to take on St Brigid’s in Kiltoom at 7pm.

Juniors Win:
The Feelystone junior team had a good win over Kilglass Gaels in Kilglass on Saturday evening last.

Intermediates:
The McGovern Directional Drilling team is scheduled to play a crucial O'Gara Cup game against St Michael’s on Saturday next at 8pm-see fixtures for confirmation.

Roscommon Win:
Well done to the Roscommon teams and their managements on their victories in Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday last. Our U 12 and U14 panels enjoyed the occasion in Carrick on Shannon and both panels are to be complimented on their exemplary behaviour.

Flags Still Missing:
The missing flags have not been returned to the Abbey Park… yet. It is hard to imagine that someone does not know where these minor items are. This is a kind of test in looking out for our stock so the wanted posters are still up!

Junior Ladies:
Boyle Junior Ladies are participating in the Joe Ward Memorial Cup and
Dermot McDermott Memorial Cup, which they won last year, next weekend of June 6th. The weekend is
hosted by St Mary's Club, Carrick on Shannon. Boyle, Ballinameen,
Edinburgh and St Mary's are the participating teams.
Fixtures: Boyle Ladies play St Mary's at 2.15pm on Saturday’s Semi-Final. If successful they will meet the winners of Ballinameen versus Edinburgh. This weekend last year was a great success and your support for
the Ladies would be appreciated on Saturday.

U 12 Teams:
The U 12 ‘Lions’ team are playing St. Ciaran's in the Division 1A
Semi-Final next Sunday, June the 7th in Boyle at 6.30pm. Please come along and
cheer the girls on in this match.

The U 12 ‘Cubs’ team are playing St Pearse's Cubs in the Division 4B
Final next Sunday, June 7th, (please see fixtures for details). This team are a
developing team and despite the name of Cubs have played like ‘lions’ in each
game of their Championship.
