Wed. 1.30
I am taking the liberty of posting an email letter from a friend of mine, Paddy Conlon, a former fine player with the club and someone who keeps in touch with its activities through various outlets. The note shows what the feeling is from these ‘old timers’ regarding the efforts of the club and its workers today.

Tony,

I’ve just read your piece and seen the photos of the dressing rooms in progress, what great strides the club has made in the last number of years and the people concerned are to be complimented for their vision and commitment. This will further raise the profile of this beautiful place and of course the club. It amazes me when I read of the number of teams and the activities taking place and it must take a lot of people to make this work, people with great commitment. As you say the park is one of the finest settings in the country and I believe anyone who has played here for the club will have lasting memories of this place.

Good luck to the club and to everybody who are taking it forward.

Will be in touch.

Paddy
