Grounds Nomination:
The Club is delighted with the announcement that the Abbey Park has been nominated as the best kept gound in the smaller clubs category by the County Board. This award is a tribute to the small dedicated group who work so hard to maintain the grounds and indeed to all users of the facilities who appreciate and take pride in its appearance.
Congratulations:
Congratulations are extended to Mrs Mary Kate Hanmore, the matriarch of a well known Boyle GAA family, on celebrating her one hundreth birthday at the weekend.t was great to see Roch on his return visit with his girfriend. I'm sure they are enjoying their trip and we wish them well.
Well done:
Well done to Castlerea St Kevins and to our neighbours Ballinameen on their respective successes in the Connacht Club Championship and commiserations to St Croan’s who almost made it a treble.
Bon Voyage:
Best wishes are extended to Damien Keenehan who begins his travels this week in going to New Zealand. Damien has been a pivot of Boyle teams since he was under 10 and has come back to the top with great determination after a very arm injury. The quiet man of the Club will be sorely missed at both club and county level. We wish him an enjoyable and fulfilling trip.
Minor EGM:
An EGM of the minor club will be held on Thursday 29th October at 8.30pm in the Royal Hotel. It is important that all who have been involved in team management during the past or will be in the coming year, are in attendance to be briefed on Club rules of conduct for team panels and appropriate approach for managers.

Boyle Ladies Club;
The U14 girls bowed out of the championship after a very exciting semi final against Roscommon Gaels on Saturday evening in the Abbey Park. This was a game where goals and excitement were a plenty. Boyle had built up what looked like a match-winning lead in the middle of the second half but failed to close the door as the Italians might do. Ros. Gaels came back strong and snatched victory at the end. While Boyle amassed a substantial early lead, the Roscommon Gaels girls finished the stronger and held out for a two point win. It was an excellent and exciting game with an amount of skill and determination on display. Boyle as one observer said ‘gave it their all and had little left in the tank by the end’. It was disappointing but encouraging for the future as there are a lot of fine young players on board. So here’s to next season. The Club wishes to thank the management team of Nicole, Sinead and Gavin and the girl’s themselves for their hard work and dedication throughout the season, as well as their parents/guardians for their involvement. Girls U16 training will begin in December as the U16 competitions will commence in February. More details to follow.
