ntdwgaa: Just a 'heads up', as it is called in arts circles(!), about 2 events. If you are in Dublin, on Monday March the 8th, two Boyle students, of NUIG Dramasoc Galway will be performing in the Becket Theatre in Trinity College, at 7pm, in a play titled: 'The Last Days of Judas Iscariot'. This is part of the All-Ireland Drama competition for Third level Colleges. The two Boyle actors, who give stunning performances, are Ciaran Beirne, Boyle GAA Minor Player of the Year 2009 and Jarlath Tivnan.
On Saturday March the 13th the Brien Friel classic play 'Dancing at Lughnasa' comes to Boyle performed by Splodoir of Manorhamilton. This is a great play perfomed by an almost semi-professional company. So spread the word. I believe it is on the Leaving Cert. course also.
