Mon. 11.50 pm. (a bit behind schedule) Boyle U12s will play Padraig Pearses in Boyle on Friday evening at 7pm in the Spring League.

The U14s lost to St Aidans last week. They will play Elphin in the Abbey Park on Thursday at 7pm. They will palay hosts to th U14s of Dulwich Harps from London on Friday evening in Boyle as part of The Gathering celebrations which will be taking place in Boyle at the weekend. The Club welcome the boys from Dulwich and their mentors and parents and it welcomes all who will be visiting Boyle at the weekend to attend the excellent programme of activities and events that will be taking place in the area.

Our U16s and our National Automation Limited minors are on the pre-exams break from competitive football. The U16s travelled to Lisnamult last week but were unable to fulfil their fixture with Roscommon Gaels because of the non-appearance of the scheduled referee.

The Cooney Motors/ Cooney Centra juniors are awaiting news of their next fixtures in the revamped league.

The McGovern Directional Drilling intermediates had a good win over Eire Og in the first round of the George Bannon Sports Intermediate Championship. ( I hope to write a note on the game and have it up by tomorrow at the latest t.c.). They will travel to Kiltoom on Sunday next to take on St Brigids B in the second round of the Championship at 4pm. Thanks to Martin,Michael and John who worked in Saturday's rain to have the pitch in the best possible condition for Sunday's game. Thanks to all who helped with the smooth hosting of Sunday's Championship game, including those who sold Club Lotto tickets.

Boyle supporters are reminded that tickets are available from Club officers for the County Board Draw which has 20 top class prizes, including a top prize of €35,000.

 Support Blood Donation:

The Club wishes to encourage all adult Boyle players and all supporters who have not previously donated blood or who don't do so, frequently, to start donating blood. The GAA is supporting the Irish Blood Transfusion Service Service in a campaign to encourage new donors.

Congratulations are extended to all children from Boyle Parish who received their First Holy Communion at the weekend.

Sympathy is extended to the Grehan family, Boyle on the death of Mrs Mary Grehan and to the Lavin family, Ballyfarnon on the death of Andy Lavin.

 Boyle Ladies Club;

The U12 Girls had another Championship win during the week when they defeated Eire Og by 0.6 to 1. 2. This was an excellent team performance by the girls in difficult weather conditions.
