The following were €20 winners at the most recent Boyle GAA Club Lotto draw which was held in Clarke’s Bar; Gerry Nerney, Lorcan Egan, Seamus and Marie Gallagher, Paul Moylan, P.J. Kelly and Bernard Furey. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will be at €5,100 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Patrick’s Well. Team A will be in charge.
The playing season drew to a close for the Club teams on Wednesday night last in Johnstown, when the Cooney Motors/ Cooney’s Centra juniors lost to Clan na Gael in the Division 4 League Semi Final. Thanks to the lads who travelled distances in mid week to fulfil the fixture. Thanks to the panel and management for their commitment throughout a long season. While no silverware was won, they have had a number of memorable victories in both league and championship. Thanks also to the Clan na Gael Club for their hospitality on the night.
The Abbey Park hosted what is likely to be its last game of the season on Saturday last with the playing of the Minor Division 2 League Final between St Faithleachs and Tulsk. Congrats to St Faithleachs on their victory and to Tulsk on winning the Underage Club of the Year award. Thanks to all Club members who helped with the hosting of the game.
The Club will be represented at the County Convention on this Tuesday night
Preparations are well advanced for the Club’s Christmas Quiz which will be held in St Joseph’s Hall on Friday night 27th December. This event is traditionally an occasion when the locals and the returned diaspora get a chance to meet up and pit their wits.
Go raibh maith agaibh.
