Minor Presentation Friday the 2nd:
The Minor Club will have its presentation evening on this Friday 2nd January at 8pm in St. Joseph's Hall with Castlerea captain and former Roscommon star Nigel Dineen as special guest. Medals will be presented to the winning Under 11 Keenan Cup and Under 16 Ahern Cup teams.The members of all underage panels, including the winning Under 14 Garda Cup team, are requested to attend as awards will be made to the Player of the Year and the Most Improved Players in each age category. Parents/guardians are also asked to attend.
Roscommon versus Sligo I.T. Sunday the 4th in Boyle:
Sunday next is a big day for the Club as it will host Roscommon's first competitive game with Fergal O'Donnell in charge when they face Sligo IT in the FBD Connacht League in the Abbey Park at 2pm. All Club members are asked to assemble at the Park at 12.30pm to be assigned stewarding duties.
Lotto:
There was no jackpot winner at the most recent Boyle Club Lotto draw which was held in The Patrick's Well on Saturday 27th December. The following were €20 winners; Mary Fallon, Patsy Quinn, Joe Sweeney (Brislagh), Eugene and Zita Griffin, Martina Mullaney (Forest View), Gerry Tivnan, Kieran Hughes, Margaret McDermott, Emma Callaghan and Saoirse O'Flaherty. The first draw of 2009 will be held in Kate Lavin's on this Sturday night 3rd January. Kathleen Hanmore's team will be in charge. The jackpot will be €1,400. Supporters will have three opportunities as they may choose three sets of numbers for a fiver or one set as heretofore for €2.

A special Extraordinary General Meeting of the Club will be held in the Royal Hotel on Friday the 9th January at 8.30pm to consider proposals to construct new dressing rooms and ancillary facilities. The Club has been allocated a Sports Capital grant for facility development and plans are ongoing to commence the development, which will be part funded by this grant, in the near future. All members are requested to attend.

A Club table quiz will be held in the Moylurg Inn on Friday 23rd January with Tony Conboy as quizmaster. Quiz enthusiasts (and non-enthusiasts) from Boyle and surrounding parishes are invited for what promises to be a night of fun.
