Top Corner:
We really need a push with the County Board €100 tickets as we just have to reach our qouta this year so everyone is urged to come on board and get single sales or combine in twos, threes or fours to take a ticket.
Intermediates Get Good Result:
The McGovern Directional Drilling team had a hard fought win, in trying conditions, over Tulsk in Tulsk on Sunday last, thus maintaining their quest for a play-off place. The win was the all important thing here and maintains the momentum. Boyle led 5 points to 4 at half time and though Tulsk came back to level at 7 points each two of the backs and ‘Man of the Match’ contenders Tadgh Egan and Cian Beirne sallied forward for the winning scores to end on Boyle 9 Tulsk 7.
The Boyle team: T. McGarty, B. Supple, K. Supple, C. Beirne (1), T. Egan (1), C. Boylan, M. McGovern (1), S. Tonra, C. Cox, M.O’Connor ( 1 fr.), L. Conroy, A. ‘Connor ( 2 gt. points) R. O’Donohoe, C. Smith ( 1), L.Conboy (2), with K.McLoughlin, D. O’Connor (set up a couple of scores) and Ml. P. Gilmartin.
Generally a dogged game to which all contributed so positive vibes this week!
There is likely to be no action for this team or the Feelystone junior team for the next couple of weeks.

There was no jackpot winner at the most recent Boyle Club Lotto drawwhich was held in the Moving Stairs. The numbers drawn were 5/9/13/18. U 12s’:
It was a successful week on the playing fields. The U12s’ had one point win over Roscommon Gaels in their Division 4 League on Monday last in Boyle. This is the Club's second string as the Division 1 league, which will involve our first panel, does not start until later.
U 14s’:
The U14s had a good win over Clan na Gael in the Abbey Park on Thursday evening last. See fixtures for details of this Thursday's opposition.
Boyle U14s will play Padraig Pearses in the Abbey Park on this Thursday at 7pm.
Boyle Ladies;
The Ladies kicked off their intermediate championship with a one point win over Castlerea in O'Rourke Park on Saturday evening last in very difficult weather conditions. They will have to wait over a month for their next championship outing.

Congrats:
Congratulations to all who received the Sacrament of Confirmation in Boyle on Sunday.Best wishes to the Boyle Celtic U14s who play a league final on Tuesday.
Referees:
At a recent County Board information meeting (see below) the call for more referees was issued. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they get reasonable remuneration and if a referee did say four or five games in a week it would be as Arthur Daly used say; “A nice little earner”. If anyone is interested I’ll tell you the fee per game. I am proscribed (prevented!) by the GAA Official Secrets Act from broadcasting same.
