Lotto: The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Kate Lavins;-Padraig Roddy, James and Eilish Goldrick, Gerry Nerney, John and Olivia Kelly, Lorcan Egan, Bernard Egan, Amanda Nevin, Hal Cawley, Karl Cuffe and Majella Hynes. The house prize was won by Michael Egan. The jackpot wasn't won and there will be a jackpot of €1,400 for the next draw which will be held in Wynnes on this Saturday night. Pat Goldrick's team will be in charge.
The U12s will play Roscommon Gaels in Hyde Park on Saturday next at 3pm in the Division 1 Championship. There follows games against St. Dominick’s, Eire Og, Clann na Gael and Pearses.
The U14s will play Tulsk in Tulsk on this Thursday at 7pm in the first round of the Garda Cup. All players are asked to assemble at St Joseph's Hall at 5.45pm for tarvel to Tulsk.
The U16s lost to Strokestown in the Division 1 Championship on Friday evening last. They play Castlerea in the Abbey Park on Sunday next the 15th at 6pm in what is a must win game.
The minors had a good championship win over Padraig Pearses and they await news of their next outing.
The Feelystone Junior team had a hard earned draw with St Ronans in Cootehall on Sunday last. Failure to convert the numerous scoring opportunities that came their way deprived them of victory.Their next outing will be against Shannon Gaels on Sunday next in the Abbey Park.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediate team secured qualification for the next phase of the George Bannon Sports Intermediate Championship following a comprehensive victory over Eire Og in the Abbey Park on Saturday last. They have one remaining game in the group stages of the competition for which they travel to Kiltoom on Saturday next to play St Brigids at 5pm.
Thanks is expressed to all who helped with the hosting of the Keenan Cup Final in the Abbey Park on Sunday evening. Castlerea emerged victorious over Eire Og in the Final.Thanks is also extended to the meithil who worked late into Wednesday and Thursday evening last to ensure that the Abbey Park was looking resplendent for the weekend's games.
It is nice to see Mark O'Donohoe back in Boyle again. Welcome home Mark. I believe there is a bit of a party cominbg up in Sydney soon. I'll be watching the post!
The Club extends its sympathy to Club Chairperson Aidan Lavin and the extended Lavin Family on the death of Aidan's Aunt, Audrey Hayden nee Healy-formerly of Knockvicar- in Tynriland, Co. Carlow.
Ladies Club;
The Ladies Club will host the Sean Daly Memorial Tournament for U14 girls on this Saturday in the Abbey Park.
