Boyle is scheduled to be represented in the Solo singing and instrumental music categories in the Scór na nOg County Semi finals in Ballyleague tonight, Friday night Nov. 27th. Karen Carty will represent the Club in the solo singing while Conor Tivnan, Jack Morris and Caoimhe Morris will form the instrumental music group. We wish all the best of luck.
The Club wishes to make it known that the Abbey Park pitch is closed for all activities until further notice as the goalmouths have been re-sodded.
The Club has been asked to hold the local church gate collection for the ISPCC this coming weekend and memers are asked to contact Kathleen Hanmore to offer their assistance.
An understrength U16 panel participated in a very enjoyable 9-a-side blitz in Kilbride on Saturday last and won a number of games to reach the final in which they lost to Oran.
Clifford Haulage and Calor Gas presented a fine set of kit bags to the U16 panel on Tuesday night in the Clubrooms. Hopefully I'll have a pic. here when my Secretary and technical support has time.
Congratulations to my friend Seamus Nugent of Kilglass Gaels on his election as Chairperson of the North Western Board. Seamus's campaign song was;'These shoes are made for...."
Thanks to former Chairperson, Seamus Regan, for his outstanding efforts during his term in office. The North Western Board is seeking the views of clubs in the region regarding the future running of the Ahern Cup competition. Boyle Club also congratulates St Brigids on winning the Connacht Senior Club Championship on Sunday.
