Moday 11th 1.30pm. All Club members are invited to attend a special Club meeting on Monday night next 18th April at 9pm in the Clubroom. The meeting will be addressed by Seamus Nugent of Kilglass Gaels who will outline his experience of the "Run to Croker" fundraiser which he organised for his Club in 2009. The U14s lost to St Brigids in the Feile competition on a scoreline of, 7. 20 to 5.18 after extra time, in Kiltoom, on Friday evening last. The U16s had a good victory over Clan na Gael in Johnstown on Friday evening last on a scoreline of, 2. 7 to 2. 4 in the Division 1 League. They have now qualified for the semi final. The Club wishes a speedy recovery to our own Micheal Lavin and to Ultan Harney of Clan na Gael who both sustained injuries in an accidental collision in that game. The Cooney Motors/ Cooneys Centra junior team had a good win over neighbours Shannon Gaels in the Tansey Cup in Croghan, thus giving them their third win in this competition. The Club wishes to thank Kieran Phelan of National Automation who has come on board as sponsors of our minor and U21 teams. It is hoped that the sponsorship will be mutually successful. The McGovern Directional Drilling seniors will host St Failes this weekend in the O'Rourke Cup-see fixtures. The Club congratulates stalwart Club supporter and trustee Ernie Keenan on becoming Mayor of Roscommon County Council. Birthday greetings are extended to Sean (still) Young. Tickets for the forthcoming Punchestown Race Day County Board fundraiser are available from Club officers. This is on a Saturday this year which should enhance its attrictiveness. I asked last week re. flexible shelving….if anyone knows of some please get in touch also. Boyle Ladies Club; Boyle Junior Ladies defeated Shannon Gaels in Croghan on Sunday in the Junior League.
