Wed. 6.30pm.
1. My return from queries here is very poor. I think Gareth Gilmartin and a missing cup was a rare success. Anyway I haven’t heard anything about the H.J. Feely Cup for Club Person/player of the Year which can only be in a Boyle house from recent times.
2. Don’t forget to support in differing ways the Minor Club’s Church Gate collection next week end.
3. Best wishes to those who are injured at the moment especially young McDermott who was just back and got seriously injured again. I hope things are improving for you guys.
4. An interesting idea from a recent Club meeting was to try and involve foreign nationals working in the area and introduce them to the GAA and the club rather than proscribing them from playing in the A.P.
5. Puncherstown races Sat. week …tickets €100 per person….. some seats available at Boyle GAA table. A good day guaranteed!!
6. A very good piece from Eamon Sweeney on the back of last Sunday’s Indo re GAA payments to inter-county managers and the cast system in Ireland.
7. Christy Moore in the hall on Friday night …just too dear at over €45 …I’d like to go but …the hall would take say 300 people ( I know it takes more)…so 300 X 45 = 13, 500 gross….I hope the hall comm.. get a slice.
8. Lotto: No Jackpot winner from the 23rd in Creighton’s. The numbers drawn were: 4/8/11/28. The €20 winners were: Joe Mahon/Donal O’Connor/Finola Doherty/Finbar Feely/ James/Marian Cox/Gerard Wilson/Gerry McCormack/Eddie Creighton/Frank Mescall. The House prize was won by Jacinta O’Gara. The next draw is in Daly’s on May 7th with Team ‘D’ and the Jackpot at €3,300.
9. The Minor League Game V Ros. Gaels has been moved to Friday the 29th at 7.30.
