Mon. 12.50 am....The following were €20 in the most recent Club Lotto Draw which was held recently in Kate Lavin’s;-Tommy Vesey, Carmel Goldrick, Michael Brennan, Cecil Draper, Jackie Harvey and Katriona Rudden. The house prize was won by Larry Gaughran. The numbers drawn were: 9/12/24/27. The jackpot wasn’t won and it will stand at €4,200 for next Saturday night’s draw which will be held in Wynne’s Bar. Team ‘B’ will be in charge.

The highlight of the weekend on the playing fields was the win by the McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediate team over Clan na Gael in Johnstown in the final round of the O’Gara Cup Division 2 League. The win earned them promotion to Division 1 League for 2014. They will play Padraig Pearses at a date to be determined in the O’Gara  Cup Final. Congratulations to the panel and the management on their well earned promotion. They won’t have time to rest on their laurels however, as they will be back in the Intermediate Championship action on Saturday evening next when they will play St Barry’s in Elphin.

The U10s will have a blitz evening with St Mary’s in the Abbey Park on this Thursday evening.

The U16s will play Roscommon Gaels in Lisnamult in the Division 1 Championship on this Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The National Automation Limited Minors will play Padraig Pearses in the League in Pairc an Phiarsaigh on Friday evening .

The Cooney Motors/Cooney’s Centra Juniors had a walkover from Eire Og in the Junior ‘B’ Championship. They will play Michael Glaveys in the next round of this competition and it is provisionally scheduled for 20th August.

The Club extends its sympathy to the Sweeney family, Brislagh, the Feely family, Deerpark,  the Masterson family and the Bonnici family on their recent bereavements.

Go raibh maith agaibh.
