Tansey Cup against St. Joseph’s in Kilteevan on Wednesday evening at 8. Leaving Abbey Park pitch at 6 please confirm availability.
The U16s’ will play St Brigids in Kiltoom on Friday evening next at 7.30pm in the next round of the Championship. Their game versus St Croan's which was due to have ben played on this Monday evening was postponed due to bereavement in the family of one of the players.
Training continues for the National Automation minor team. An understrength Cooney Motors/ Cooney's Centra team suffered a narrow defeat to Oran in the Junior Championship in Oran on Saturday last. They have one further fixture in this competition which will be against Clan na Gael. They will play St Josephs in the Tansey Cup in Kilteevan on this Wednesday evening.
The McGovern Directional Drilling Intermediate team is awaiting news of their championship quarter final.
Eoin Lavin, Colin Goldrick and Luke Brennan were members of the Roscommon U16 panel which had a dissappointing outing in the Tedd Webb Cup (Are there two ds’ in Tedd?) competition in Tuam on Saturday last.
Well done to Sean Purcell who put in a fine performance with Roscommon in the Connacht Final on Sunday. Hopefully they will put this narrow defeat behind them and bounce back to winning ways in the Qualifiers in a couple of weeks time. Congratulations to the County Minors, and especially our Boyle representatives Donal and Enda Smith and Tadhg McKenna who won the Connacht Minor Title at the weekend. The Smith brothers now join older brother Cian as holders of Connacht medals. Congratulations also to Club Registrar, Mary Clifford, on the success of her native Donegal in the Ulster Final and comiserations to our Derry man Sean Young.
The Abbey Park will host a Division 3, U14 Semi Final between Castlerea and Shannon Gaels on this Thursday at 7pm. It will also host an U17 intercounty challenge game on Saturday next between the Roscommon and Sligo U17 development squads.
All Club members are advised to commence their fitness training in advance of the Club's proposed "Walk to Croker" fundraiser during the week prior to the All Ireland Football Final.
There are still a small number of tickets available from club members for the County Board €100 draw. The draw was postponed for a variety of reasons until August the 2nd.
Sympathy is extended to Jackie Finneran, Ballymore on the death of her mother.
The Club extends its best wishes to the U16 girls in their County Final on Wednesday evening in Ballyleague.

The big event of the week is the long awaited U16 County Final versus Padraig Pearses in Ballyleague on this Wednesday at 6.30pm. All football supporters are asked to go and cheer on the girls to success. The Junior Ladies will play Ballinameen in their next championship outing this weekend-see fixtures. The U12 girls hosted Mayo opposition in an end of season friendly in the Abbey Park on Saturday last. They have now finished their activity for the season. Thanks to all who played throughout the season and looking forward to resumption in 2012 and best wishes to those who will be graduating to U14 next year. Congratulations to the Boyle representatives on the Connacht Championship winning minor team on Sunday and hard luck on the Seniors.
