Apologies for the delay in posting this pic. of towering, popular Boyle minor team captain, Luke Harrington, accepting the Minor League Shield (has it a name Luke?) after their fine win over Clann na Gael at a wet/windy artic Lisnamult, Roscommon Gaels grounds on Friday December the 30th. This ensured the 'Double' of League and Championship in 2011...probably the best show by a Boyle team....ever? Presenting the Shield is my pal for yonks Gerard Shannon of Ballinameen GAA. In the background left is team manager Vinnie Flanagan with messrs Regan, Goldrick, East, Filan, Lavin (who, with goalie McDermott was my joint 'Man of the Match') and the injured track-suited Enda Smith. I didn't venture asking the team to pose for a team pic. due to the conditions. Well done to all.
