Sorry for the delay in this post.Tues. 7 pm.
It was another week of mixed results for Boyle underage teams. Pride of place goes to the U14s who had a deserved draw with St Brigids in the Division 1 Championship on Thursday evening last. See fixtures for their next championship game which is likely to be on this Thursday evening.
The U16s didn't have as successful a trip to Kiltoom as they were defeted by St Brigids in the first round og the Division 1 Championship on Sunday. They will host Padraig Pearses on Sunday next in their next championship outing.
The McGovern Directional Drilling understrength minors were defeated by Castlerea St. Kevins in the first round of the Special Minor League Division 1 in the Abbey Park on Wednesday last. See fixtures for the next outing.
The U 8s are awaiting their blitz.
The U12s have a home fixture scheduled for this week.
The big event of this week is the Kelloggs CĂșl Camp which will be ongoing in the Abbey Park throughout this week. It is a special event for primary school children from Boyle and surrounding clubs, during which they will be coached in the skills of Gaelic games in a fun setting. We welcome all participants and we ask all to respect the facilities of the Abbey Park.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney's Centra juniors will host neighbours Shannon Gaels in the last round of the Tansey Cup competition on Saturday evening next.
The McGovern Directional Drilling intermediates are scheduled to have a game next weekend-see fixtures.
The Club congratulates the Roscommon minors and seniors on their great performances at the weekend, and especially our Boyle representatives on the panels and in the backrooms.Their gutsy performances have lifted our hearts again.
Congratulations also to John Tiernan, Carrick Road who was the winner of a half share in one of the €1,000 prizes that were drawn in the first round of the County Board draw. The other half of the ticket was won by Boyle GAA Club ourselves.
Boyle Ladies;
The ladies team will play Ballinameen in the second round of the County Junior A Championship in the Abbey Park on this Tuesday evening at 8pm.. Supporters are urged to come along and encourage them to secure a second win in the competition.
Go raibh maith agaibh,
