Everything is in readiness for our big social night of the year on Saturday night next in Kilronan Castle Hotel when the jointly organised Boyle Men and Ladies GAA Clubs Dinner Dance will be held. It promises to be a very special night. The special guest will be a current ALL Star  footballer. Presentations will be made to the Boyle Ladies Junior A County Championship winning panel and to the Boyle minor male panel who were runners-up in the County Minor Division 1 Championship. The Ladies' and Mens' Players of the Year awards will be presented, as will the Club Person of the Year and the Hall of Fame awards. A limited number of tickets are still available up until this Thursday evening. Mc Kenna's Mini Bus Service, Boyle will provide a shuttle bus service from the Crescent for patrons to and from Kilronan from 7pm on Saturday evening. The following officers were elected at the recent Minor Board AGM;- Chairperson-Leonard Sutton, Vice Chairperson-Stephen Bohan, Secretary-Sabrina Kerins, Asst. Secretary-Claire Conway, Treasurer-Olive Filan, Asst. Treasurer-Mary Halligan, Registrar-Mary Clifford, P.R.Os -Martin Dolan and Bernie Mullins, Childrens' Officer-Jan Flanagan. County Minor Board Delegates-Odran Feely and Kevin Young, with Leonard Sutton and Sabrina Kerins as alternates. Team Managers;- U 8 Patrick Duffy and Eugene Halligan, U10 Noel Casey and assistants to be appointed, U12-Eamonn Glennon, Leonard Sutton, Odran Feely, Gerry Cregg and Michael McGrath; U14-Martin Mullen, Fergal O'Donnell, Ciaran Supple and Stephen Bohan. U16 and Minor- to be decided at next meeting. It was noted that the County Minor Leagues are due to commence on 17th February. All managers were advised that co-operation with Club Pitch Co-ordinator Martin Purcell throughout the season is vital and to ensure that the Warren Field is used whenever possible for training.The meeting also noted that gumshields are obligatory for all underage players whether at training or in games from now onwards and that team managers must not allow players to participate unless they are wearing gum shields. Managers were also advised that players must be fully registered before being allowed to participate in Club activities.The AGM complimented and wished well all the Boyle players who are on the various County underage panels.

***People using the gym facility are urged to ensure that all electrics are switched off when leaving the premises especially the heater as the bill for the past year is not sustainable***

The McGovern Directional Drilling management and panel now knows what awaits them in this year's Intermediate Championship and they look forward to meeting St Barrys, St Brigids B and their annual adversaries Eire Og. The Club extends its congratulations to Donie Smith on his excellent National League debut with Roscommon on Sunday last and on picking up his Player of the Month award for March at the very enjoyable Roscommon Herald/ Super Valu Sports Awards on Friday night last.

Sympathy is extended to Veronica and Stephen Tonra on the death in Co Kerry of Veronica's father, and to the Earley Family on the death of Mrs Kitty Earley, Gortaganny.
