Sat. 10.00pm
Not a GAA thing but....there will be a Quiz in The Cross Bar in Ballinameen on Friday Dec. the 4th for a worthy venture. If you've been to recent T.C. quizes you will be at a real advantage as similar if not the same questions are up again!!

Boyle Juniors for County Div. 4 League Final:
Boyle 0.14 St. Aidan's 1.10.
Boyle Juniors had a very good win over a pretty good St. Aidan's side at a foggy Abbey Park on Saturday the 28th. Boyle led by just one point at half time 8 points to 7. About 5 of the Aidan's scroes came from frees. it was good to see a fisted Boyle point-a mantra of mine- by Peter Lavin mid way in the half. St. Aidan's caught Boyle napping on the resunption and from a quick free they scored the game's only goal. The way things looked with the diffic7ult conditions and all this might have been crucial. However the game progressed in a nip and tuck fashion to the end. After 18 minutes of the hald St. Aidan's led by 2 points but Boyle finished the stronger with points by Cian Smith (free),Donal Kelly and the cliching score came from Peter Lavin with time up. So Boyle face Kilbride in the Final, as far as I know. I hope this is played quickly as it has been a long season. The prize is regular Tansey Cup next year and this could only be beneficial for the adult football scene.
The Boyle team: C.Beirne, C.Horan, J.Lyons, J.Healy, C.Beirne, C.Cox, A.Finn (0.1), C.Cox (0.2),N.McKenna, P.Lavin (0.2), D.O'Connor, D.Kelly (0.2), C.Smith (0.5 incl frees), D.Callaghan (0.1), One point missing!) R.Walshe with T.Lowe, M.O'Connor and Mark McGovern. Well done to their management team of David O'Connor, Bernie Shannon, Paul Beirne and Dessie plus their official umpires Aidan and Martin Dolan.

Scor:
"Tony,
Karen Carty qualified for the county final of the solo singing event at the semi-finals which were held in Ballyleague last night".
Martin (Dolan).
So Martin is getting some results from his missionary work with Scor in Boyle.

There will be a Club Senior Meeting on Tuesday night, Dec. 1st, to deal with the County Convention coming to boyle on Monday Dec. 14th. Incidentally there were two County Conventions in Boyle in the 80s'; in 1984 as part of the Centenary Year, in the hall, since the GAA in Roscommon was officially begun in Boyle and in 1989,in the Forest Park Hotel, to commemorate the hundred years of the GAA in Ros.

The strong Club's Minor AGM takes place on Thursday night.
