Lotto: The following were €20 winners at the most recent Club Lotto draw which was held in Dodd's Bar:- Barry Feely, Nora Pat Stewart, Jim Brennan, T.P. Toolan, Padraig Roddy, Ronan Smith, Clifford Family, Michael Kelly, Mark Egan and Matthew Tivnan. The house prize was won by Dan Kennedy. This week's draw will be held in the Moving Stairs on Saturday night with Team D in charge. The jackpot will be €4,100.
The monthly Club meeting will be held on Wednesday night at 8.30-9pm(?) in the new Clubrooms.The U12s lost to Roscommon Gaels in the Division 1 League last week. The U14s travel to Johnstown on Thursday evening to play Clan na Gael in their Division 1 League game. The U16s are due to play Clan na Gael in the Abbey Park in the Division 1 League on this Tuesday evening-check fixtures for confirmation. They will travel to Johnstown on Sunday morning next to play Padraig Pearses in their next league game. The Feelystone junior team will play Strokestown in Strokestown on Saturday evening next in the Tansey Cup. The McGovern Directional Drilling senior team secured senior league football for next year by virtue of their excellent victory over St Faithleach's in Ballyleague on Saturday evening. This was a strong team performance from start to finish against top quality opposition. Tomás is wished a speedy recovery from injury. They have a break for a few weeks until their next game but in the meantime their sights will be set on preparation for the Intermediate Championship. All team managers are advised that only the new dressingrooms are to be used in the future as the old ones are no longer available as dressingrooms. Please ensure that they are kept properly and that the litter regime of rubbish to rubbish bins and recycling to recycling bins, is followed. Congratulations to the Abbey College juvenile team and their management on winning the Connacht Colleges Juvenile Title following their recent victory over St. Endas, Galway. The Club extends its sympathy to the Cummins Family, Kilmore and Swords on the sad passing of Marty Cummins, a member of the 1966 All Ireland winning Roscommon U21 team of 1966.
