Mon. 11pm. Among the activities in the Abbey Park this afternoon was a game between a Veterans selection and the Apprentice Boys. The result, as is often the case in these games, is disputed. The veterans are in dispute with their dietician, obviously.

This afternoon (Monday) has the Minor Championship and League presentations.
The National Automation Ltd. minors play Strokestown in the Division 1 League on this Tuesday evening at 7pm in the Abbey Park. They will be in action again on Sunday next at 12 noon in that Abbey Park against St Brigids in the next round of this competition.
The Cooney Motors/ Cooney's Centra team had a deserved victory over Ballinameen on Saturday last in the Tansey Cup. Their next outing is scheduled for Woodmount against Padraig Pearses on 22nd April.
The McGovern Directional Drilling team suffered a three point loss to St Dominics in the O'Gara Cup on Friday evening last in Knockcroghery.They will face Eire Og in the next round of this competition in Loughglynn on Sunday next.
The Abbey Park played host to an entertaining U16 intercounty challenge game between Roscommon and Sligo on Saturday last.Well done to Dylan Mattimoe and Thomas Halligan who made their debuts in the county colours.
Congratulations to the Roscommon U21 County panel and management on winning the Connacht Championship on Saturday last, and especially to our Boyle representatives, Tadhg Lowe and Donal Smith and to David Casey on the management team. We hope that they can build on this achievement in their forthcoming All Ireland Semi Final.
Congratulations also to Roscommon minors on retaining the Connacht Minor League and to our Boyle representatives Tadhg McKenna, Brian Furey and Evan McGrath.
The Club congratulates Sean Purcell on his recent engagement to Catriona on their recent engagement. Tickets are available from all Club members and players for the forthcoming fundraiser draw which has as its first prize a monster trailer load of firewood.
The sympathy of the Club is extended to the Lavin Family, Ballymore on recent bereavements.
