Wed. 9.30am. The Death of Michael Higgins, Cootehall longtime dedicated GAA referee:
I was deeply saddened, a sentiment that I'm sure will be widely shared, to hear of the death of Michael Higgins of Cootehall. Michael was a logtime referee and gave great service to North roscommon GAA and was a reliable, regular in the Abbey Park. I am sure that generations of players will remember Michael's distictive style as he made his decisions.
