Mon. 1.50 pm. Welll Done To All INVOLVED IN THE MAJOR ‘WALK’ (AD)VENTURE. We will be reviewing the project anon and will post a list of the many people to be thanked here. For the moment I post Martin Dolan’s post.
The Club has successfully accomplished its historic "Walk to Croker" project. After six long days of walking and fundraising, the Club members arrived in Dublin on Saturday afternoon last and carried out an intensive bucket collection mission around the City Centre and Croke Park area until after the conclusion of the All Ireland Final on Sunday. The proceeds have not yet been tallied but it is anticipated that they will help with the financing of the Club in the short-term without having to burden the local community. The Club extends a sincere "thank you" to the many members of the three sections i.e. the Senior, the Minor and Ladies Club who participated in the walking and the fundraising and who gave unselfishly of their time. Thanks is also extended to the many others from within the community and in the various locations along the route who participated so actively in the project, and to the many who provided for the practicalities of the venture such as collection buckets, drinks and fruit for the walkers, those who sponsored the vehicle and those who sponsored the fuel. All will be acknowledged in the coming weeks.

Boyle Ladies Club;
The Ladies lost to a stronger Western Gaels team in the Junior A County Final which was played in Cootehall on Saturday last. The girls will have an opportunity to return to winning ways when they play the Junior League County Final on circa 1st October.
